I realize it has been a long time since I have blogged…even longer since I REALLY blogged.
Here is a short list of excuses (not in any particular order):
1. It’s Christmas time!
2/3/4. Sim, Betty, Jed. All three of my kids are busy, crazy, loud, full of energy kids…love them…wouldn’t have them any other way!
5. I am currently transitioning at work- its been something I have been doing for 7+ years – I love my job but for various reasons its time to move on.
6. So, I am trying to get a few other little projects/jobs going on the side…one is for Christian woman and one is for youth workers working with teenage girls.
7. I am on a team of people at our church who are trying to launch an adoption ministry…good stuff happening at OCC!
8. Having fun with a our new friends from the blogging world…they come over from Idaho every few weeks for appointments. I now call Lisa my fairy godmother(future blog post)…this is why I love the blog community.
9. Sim’s 6th birthday!
10. Others (which include cooking, cleaning, working out, volunteering in high school ministry, being married…you know the basics!)
But a lot of good things have been happening in the midst and I am excited to write about them. So, for this next week…I can guarantee there will be some blogs!
**An interesting highlight** This month we celebrated 6 months of being a family of 5! I can’t really believe how fast it has gone. I can’t believe that last Christmas I didn’t even know Betty’s name. How life can change in a year!! I’ll write more about this in an upcoming post.

Thank you so much for your wonderful posts! We are in the process of adopting a little girl that (hopefully) will be the same age as your little girl. We are awaiting our referral. I love following your blog and hearing all about her transition. It is wonderful to have the opportunity to follow a family that has adopted a preschool age child. I would love to hear more about the adoption ministry you are working on. Starting an adoption ministry at our church is something I am very interested in doing. Thanks again for your posts. Congratulations on your six months home and Merry Christmas to you all!
